    unsure faster comp

    Hiii Guys,

i have a PC with Intel Core 2 CPU 4400 @ 2.00 GHz, 3GB-RAM, NVIDIA 8400 GS Graphics Card with windows XP SP2. However with this hardware (i know it isnt on the higher side) i find my computer slow. when i say slow i dont mean while playing games, its just slow by which i mean the comp doesnt respond as it should when i am using just MS OFFICE or just browsing the net using firefox.

can you guys please help me in speeding up my comp.

    thanks and regards.

PS: i feel my 3GB of ram isnt being used to its fullest as i also have the Nvidia 8400 gs.

    Re: faster comp

You need to do some workaround to speed up your computer, like free up your disk space.By freeing disk space, you can improve the performance of your computer. The Disk Cleanup tool helps you free up space on your hard disk. The utility identifies files that you can safely delete, and then enables you to choose whether you want to delete some or all of the identified files. In addition to running Disk Cleanup to optimize the performance of your computer, you can check the integrity of the files stored on your hard disk by running the Error Checking utility. To run the Error Checking utility:

    • Close all open files.
    • Click Start, and then click My Computer.
    • In the My Computer window, right-click the hard disk you want to search for bad sectors, and then click Properties.
    • In the Properties dialog box, click the Tools tab.
    • Click the Check Now button.
    • In the Check Disk dialog box, select the Scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors check box, and then click Start.
    • If bad sectors are found, choose to fix them.
