Canon s9000 printer problem

I have recently bought Canon s9000 printer from my brother since i am going to have lots of printing work, everything was working fine at my brothers place but when i try to plug to my computer it was not able to detect that printer too, i don't know why it's not getting detected on my PC, when i am trying to attach my computer i think that i should get new hardware found message it's not showing me anything. Can anyone tell me what should i do in this case.

Normally in such kind of issue try to check all your connection are properly connected or not and make sure your USB cable is working properly because it might happen that your usb cable has gone bad because of which your computer is not able to detect your printer.

I had a check for the same my USB was bad and now i have replaced it with a new one but now when i am trying to install it's drivers through CD i came to know that my while installing some of the files are being corrupted that why i am not able to complete it's setup. Can anyone provide me download link. Thanks in Advance.
