Computer doesn't boot anymore

My computer power light goes on but computer doesn't start. Does any one know why? I have done following : Reboot 3 to 4 times, format my hard disk, checked internal connection. I am sure it is not power problem because light goes on. What has happened and what is the solution?Can anyone help!!!

Computer power light goes on but computer doesn't start that means your power supply not providing appropriate current to the internal devices. Do you get any beeps at all from the BIOS screen boot?If the power supply, power cables and connections and CPU are okay, then perhaps it's either the RAM or motherboard.

When you hold the power button down then press it again which screen appear on you monitor.Is there any 'bleep' from the motherboard? - if not then in it's almost certainly not a Windows problem, but a hardware one. If you have two RAM modules, you can try booting with only one of them installed (in the proper slot - according to your manual) and then the other.

It sounds like there was a short in motherboard or may be monitor fault. Does it display anything on monitor after start up?
