You can go with GeForce 9800. PCI E 2.0 is backwards compatible with PCI E 1.0. The dual-GPU engine has 256 screaming fast stream processors and a 1GB framebuffer, allowing it to perform 30 to 50% faster across games than the previous performance leading GeForce 8800 Ultra GPU.

    Hello friend,

You wont have any problem running PCIe 2.0 graphic card witha PCIe 1.1 motherboard. Upgrading the motherboard for this reason also wnt help you much only the bandwidth will increase by around 10%.

You can go with nvidia 9500 512mb gddr3
