I will suggest you to restart the computer & see what happens to it... If doesn't work then just try to uninstall the printer & reinstall the fresh one.... I think this should work for you....!
Thanks Hardwareman....!

Do you have a firewall in your computer it might be creating the problem.... Just try turning off the firewall & see weather the error goes away... Also see that there should not be any virus or spyware in your computer....
I hope it is time to format your computer. I think formatting your computer will solve your problem....! This will finally solve your problem... but before that just try to update your driver & see.... if it works....!I read your solution & was trying your solution it. Didn't work for me....! Hello, I also had this problem with my Lexmark X5690 inkjet printer and I have found a solution.
Problem: I kept getting the error message "Printer card transfer monitor..." each time I booted up my computer. Also, I could not open the Lexmark Productivity Studio and I could not scan documents (other than that, the printer worked fine). I tried to uninstall / reinstall, but it did not work.
Solution:
1. Uninstall the printer using an uninstall software (Revo Uninstaller)
2. Restart the computer
3. Disable firewall and antivirus
4. Insert the installation CD of the printer and carefully follow the installation instructions
5. Reactivate the firewall and antivirus.
After all these steps, everything should work properly.
I hope this solution will help you fix the problem.
