How to connect laptop drive to desktop

I am having Dell Laptop with me, due to virus issue on my laptop i need to format my Laptop windows but i am having some important data which need to be backup on my desktop computer. Is there any way where i can connect my laptop hard disk on my desktop computer then please let me know.

If you are having 2.5" hard drive adapter then you can directly connect it to your computer through IDE connector on motherboard. Normally your computer Hard disk would be connect to IDE1 and connect your laptop Hard disk to IDE 2 and make sure you boot from your computer hard drive. Once it connected reboot your computer and you would be able to see all your laptop drives on your computer and now transfer the files.

If you want to connect your laptop hard disk to your computer then you need to have an external USB case which supports both your desktop and laptop drive and they normally come in two types which is IDE and SATA or else you can get an adapter that allows you to connect your laptop drive to a desktop computer internally by attaching it to the internal IDE or SATA cables.

Instead of doing all this things the simple way is that put your desktop and your laptop on a network and share those file or else if you are not having much more data then take it in pen drive or write a DVD for the same.
