PC Hard Disc to Seagate Hard Drive

I have an old PC. It has a 2GHz Hard Drive with 4890Mbs of RAM. I connect it to Seagate Freeagent GO 500GB- using a short cable to my USB port.I cannot get to copy and save data from my PC into it.
Is it because my PC has only a 2GB drive?

It might happen that your USB is not working and try to connect your Seagate Hard drive on another computer and see are you still facing the same issue then you need to show it to your manufacturer.
