    Intel Core7 C0 vs Intel Corei7 D0

I have a doubt in my mind. I want to buy a Intel Core i7 Processor. My IT guy told me that it has two versions. The first on is Intel Core i7 Processor C0 and the second on is Intel Core i7 Processor D0. And it is a multi task processor with 2.93 and 2.6 Ghz of speed. The cache is 8 mb. I want to ask that what is the difference between Intel Core i7 Processor C0 and D0 processor. Which one should I buy.

The core i7 type processor of intel family is termed as the best processor. It is made on nehalem architecture. It has many new features. Here the memory can direct connect to the cpu. It supports three channel memory. Each channel supports dual DIMMS. In place of FSB you will have Intel Quick path interconnect interface. Turbo boost, hyperthreading, quick path are the additional advantages of this processor. The processor comes from 2.6 Ghz to 3.3 Ghz range. Overclocking is a simple.

    Re: Intel Core7 C0 vs Intel Corei7 D0

If I was in your place then I would rather go for intel core i7 D0 instead of intel core i7 C0. The C0 and D0 is called stepping. This defines the version of processor launched and the progress made in the version. Well, the D0 is much more stable than C0. The overcloker rate is also higher in D0. Like the C0 can only be clocked to 4389mhz at 1.550v and you can clock D0 to 4720mhz at 1.55v. It also initiates large jumping stability.

The code name of Intel Core7 is bloomfield. C0 and D0 is nothing but the new version of the same processor with better stability and advantage. For example windows xp and windows vista. Both are windows platform but vista is much advance then vista. In the same way Intel Core7 D0 is more advanced than Intel Core7 C0. The attached manul has complete table which describes you the difference between them. See the below list. You will get a general idea about the difference. The price of both are almost the same.
    • Intel Corei7 C0 - 3.20 Ghz, L2 Cache - 256kb, L3 Cache - 8mb
    • Intel Corei7 D0 - 3.33 Ghz, L2 Cache - 256kb, L3 Cache - 8mb
