    Bloodhound.Exploit.196 virus removal

    Hi,

My Norton detected the virus "Bloodhound.Packed" without being able to erase it. Bloodhound.Packed was installed at C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\ms.exe

Now have a previously chosen restore point, but that the virus is certainly not yet removed, right? If they do, the better .............

I have windows Xp as my operating system.

Can you tell me how I can get rid of this?

    Hello,

Try to do a scan with Ikarus.

    http://www.ikarus.at/downloadfiles/S...ies_1.0.89.exe

if it detects a file you use often, you can send it to the center of Ikarus to confirm that it is a virus.

Good luck! Ikarus is a bit sensitive to detect viruses.

The following instructions pertain to all current and recent Symantec antivirus products, including the Symantec AntiVirus and Norton AntiVirus product lines.
    • Disable System Restore (Windows Me / XP).
    • Update the virus definitions.
    • Run a full system scan.
