    Problem with Realtek RTL8168b

    hie everyone,

I have a new HP Pavillion laptop with Windows Vista installed in it. Whenever I try to play a CD, DVD or MP3, there a little disturbing noise like a spark which continously keeps on playing in the background. I think there is some problem with my Realtek RTL8168b sound card. can anyone help !!

I had also faced sound issue with my Realtek sound card in my Vista computer. Initially, I messed around certain settings in the audio options for a while, but thereafter, just hitting "set as default device" fixed my issues.

I would suggest you to download - "Driver Scanner 2009"

Driver Scanner 2009 provides all in one solution for finding and updating your drivers. (Using a safe .Net technology), the program scans your computer, finds and identifies all hardware components. It also matches the installed hardware with the correct driver and DOWNLOADS latest driver updates on your computer.

I would simply advice you to uninstall and reinstall your audio drivers from the Device Manager. Find your hardware (Realtek RTL8168b sound card) and simply right-click and select "Update Driver".

    gudluck
