You cannot repair the damaged button, as the only thing the power button has is the connection brushes which Just gets connected and the power is turned on. Then when the button is released, the brushes, loose contact but the power is not disconnected. Its just that the two contacts which come from motherboard needs to be shorted for a fraction of seconds and then the power supply stays on. Replace the button with the similar one...
I am not too techie at such stuffs, any other simple way to get it done? Well i don't know how to bring a similar button connector or the whole button. I don't know technical terms of it. So any other way? The connector on the motherboard side is proper, it is damaged from the button side. Help Guys!
Is your computer buggy? Do you use the reset button to hard reboot the computer when it is stuck? If no then just remove the power button connector from the motherboard and at its place put the reset button's connector. Now you will not have reset button on your computer working but, now the reset button will act as a power button. All the best..!
