Need Hdmi to vga adapter

Hello,

Is there a HDMI to VGA adapter ?I know there are HDMI to DVI adapters out there. I also know that there are DVI to VGA adapters out there. but I need to take VGA from a computer to the HDMI input on a Dell 42" Plasma HDTV. is it possible ? if yes then how ?

I'm not sure but what i know is The VGA output from the video card of a computer is an analog connection and is incompatible with the digital-only HDMI input on that plasma TV. There are no simple adapters that would allow you to get a usable signal. what you can do is buy a computer video card with a DVI output.

It is not possible because HDMI uses something called HDCP that is meant for copy protection. what you can do is if you're using an ATI video card, they sell inexpensive VGA or DVI to HDTV component converters, or if you buy one of the higher-end All In Wonder cards they have direct component output support.
