It is possible to upgrade the configuration of the PS3 just like computer systems. For ps3 it is possible to upgrade the hard disk to standard Serial-ATA 2.5" HDD.With the 20GB version for many utility you can use USB wireless LAN adaptors .The HDMI slot is the only non upgradeable element of the 20GB version that can not be added later.

get a 2.5-inch SATA hard drive disk size can be your choice but that must runs at 5400RPM .The small 2.5 "drives is expensive , so although I would probably preferred 200 GB.

I put a 320GB in mine, is running fine, but due to update (2.53) slightly different way of approach.

    1) Download SYSTEM SOFTWARE FOR PLAYSTATION 3 SYSTEM
    2) On a USB Key low Folder \ PS3 \ UPDATE \
    3) Put the downloaded file into the UPDATE folder on the USB key.
    4) Make a backup of your old HD in your PS3.
    5) Replace the HD in the PS3
    6) Connect the USB key to the PS3 and turn on the
    7) Follow the instructions on screen
    8) Restore your backup
    9) End

Re: Ps3 the correct hard disk not found need to swap hard disk

    1. Make a dump of your PS3 HDD (connect to your PC via SATA)
    2. Plug HDD back to your PS3
    3. Copy a wide-dummy file to the HDD
    4. Unplug from PS3 HDD, and plug it back into your PC
    5. Dump the HDD image again
    6. Compare the two dumps you know have, and locate the encrypted dummy data (HXD or use any hex editor to do this)
    7. Replace the dummy data encrypted with sections of the data you want to decrypt
    8. Place the HDD back into your PS3
    9. Dummy Copy data from PS3 to external media (USB drive / flash drive)
    10. Inspect dummy file on the PC from USB stick / flash drive.
