on my motherboard i have 1 pci-e 16x card which i have utilized for my graphics card now another small slot pcie is present with x4 and its one end is open, so can i use it for a pci-e x1 audio cards?

i have read about video card that says you can utilize a x4 slot to insert a x16 card. It would work but for audio i dont know basically you have 4x so i think that must capable to support 1x.

basically x1 , x4 is clock pulses to work for cards if your sound card is pci-e x1 you can insert it into pci-e x4 it will perform better check here What is PCIe x1 slot used for?
