Canon HF10: burn mts to DVD

I have Canon HF10 camcorder which was gifted by my friends. I have a lot of video shooting in this camcorder which I want to empty by moving them to DVD so that I can see it in future. But my problem is that I am unable burn these video shooting onto dvd.

All the video files are in mts format. I tried it using Nero but no go. Is this possible? Is there any tool or some tips to write all these files on DVD?

There is no way to convert .mts to DVD. If you still try this you will just lose quality. However if you want to avoid this try converting it to HD DVD or Blu-Ray DVD format. You just need to write the files in the proper format for the high definition DVD player to recognize it.
