Epson Stylus Photo R300 wont print CD/DVD

Hi,
I have an Epson Stylus Photo R300 printer which can print all photos perfectly but it cant print any CD/DVD. Whenever I try to print, the tray just pops in and then pops out. It always asks to reload the tray and to press maintenance button but it does the same all time. Can anyone help me out.

Any CD printer needs specially coated media, the ink won't stick to normal CDs. Depending on where you are, I find www.umart.net good value and reliable for cakes for 25-50 printable CDs or DVDs. Also www.eyo.com.au, or http://www.computermarket.com.au/ .

if you are running vista go www.epson and download vista drivers for your printer if not go to www.micrsoft.com/donload/vista and if that does not work . go to control panel and take of programs and then reload your epson disc.

Putting in a complete new set of inks made no difference. Eventually got it down to a driver problem.
Install the software from the disc, then go to Epson's website and download the latest driver (for your OS) and install.

Start with the CD door closed and printer off. Turn printer on and let it initalize once it is done open the CD door. If it still saya to cloce the CD dooe then you have a hardware issue. If it works fine then it is a operator error.

The CD door needs to be closed when the printer is powered on. Then you can open the CD door once thr printer intitializes.
