PC restarts on connecting webcam

Hello friends,
I have windows XP installed on my desktop PC. When i try to connect my Logitech webcam to my PC, it automatically restarts. Otherwise my PC works fine on connecting any USB flash drive or something. Can anyone help?

I think your computer is infected from virus and its refusing to connect the webcam. Update your antivirus and try using some other antivirus like AVG free and avast, if your current antivirus cannot detect it. Also check for malware or adware with anti-malware and anti-adware applications.

Try to connect it properly by following steps:

• Connect your webcam to USB port
• If you get any Pop up regarding blocking, then unblock it
• Then manually restart your computer
• After restart, setup window will open
• Follow the instruction step-by-step
• Test your webcam after finishing the setup

Search the driver for the webcam from manufacturer's website and update it to the latest. Your driver failure may be causing the problem. Also check for the extra process running in the background of your system. Clean your temporary data and try to connect it again.
