Combine ethernet with wireless
Hi,
i have read many threads on the internet but couldnt really find the solution i needed so i am posting my question
i have got two broadband connections to my house
one is from virgin net and the other one is from O2 (recently bought) through the BT line
the virgin net gives a maximum of 250kbs/down
the O2 net is for Upto 8Meg but it doesnt give great speeds its maximum speed which i have experienced till yet is 250Kbs/down (equal to the virgin net) sometimes its even worse than the virgin net and only give 25kbs/down
now i have both connections so i want to use both connections, simultaneously on the same computer,
the virgin net is connected to my computer through the ethernet cable and the O2 is wireless
i thought bridging would work but i'm not really sure it is working, when the bridge is enabled the computer shows its connected to O2 only and not the virgin net, is that ok.
although after bridging i get a maximum speed of nearly 0.5Mbs/down
does this mean that the bridging of the two connections is working or i assume that it was some off peak time and the load on internet was not that great so i was getting comparatively better speed
i havent got much knowledge about networking so please reply in a way that i can follow the instructions easily.
