External hard drive not recognized in computer management

Hi all,
i have new external harddrive. It was working fine before. But when i try to connect it, it will not recognize in computer management and is not visible in "My Computer". However, it is seen in device manager and the icon of "Safely Remove Hardware" in the taskbar. Can anyone help me?

Try using it on different computer and see if it works. Looks like the hard drive is not working. It is may be because of bad power supply. Get help from professional hardware engineer to get it work again.

Try to reinstall the drivers and install the drive back into the enclosure then plug it in to your computer. I think it is not your external drive that causing problem, your USB ports are corrupt. Get new USB card. Not that expensive as new external hard drive.

Sometime due to boot configuration setup or virus attack OS didn't detect hard disk. In this situation you can check your boot menu and restore it default. If you have any software CD for external drive then via Control Panel ->Add new hardware -> Add HDD. In this way hard drive can be detected.
