Invalid block address

Hi,
i have a Sony DRX840U 20x External Dual-Layer DVD Burner on my new assembled computer,it doesn't work fine when i try to burn any movie or video using Nero Everything goes fine till around 5 to 10% but after that it gives me an error "Invalid block address" what does this mean?

hi,
check the nero info tool to check blank disc. or try to check DMA seeting and I have also heard that this is a firmware issue, and an upgrade is needed. In any case, the problem hasn't shown up in Nero 7 at all.Make sure that while using dxdiag in run command the direct draw is active,set the default seeting of nero and turn off overburn.

You should test that in SIMULATION MODE first or use Nero CD/DVD speed for Overburning Simulation.i had the same problems in burning dvd with nero 6, downloading and installing the latest updates corrected my problems .

Check that DMA is enabled (Device Mgr, in the IDE-controller, NOT in CD/DVD).Are you only getting this error when overburning?or It could be a problem with the video that you are trying to use. Try another one.
