Disc drive not found when I want to format my PC

Hello to All,

I spend 7 to 8 hours on the internet, so my PC gets virus infected because of which it force me to go for formatting, the problem was when I keep my windows XP CD in the system tray to boot my computer form there, I saw that "no disc player" is available on the windows desktop and because of which I could not continue the Installation,in simple word it was unable to find hard disk.

someone has a solution, thank you.

Perhaps as you have a SATA disk and you try to format with a CD version of XP first.
If your are not finding SATA drive then you may also other option of floppy drive, with the SATA drivers for your motherboard you should indicate in the installation process by pressing F6 during one of the first screens of the boot on the installation CD (c is marked at the bottom of the screen).

This procedure is to follow with some motherboard even with versions of XP SP2 included.

I have also even tried several version of XP sp3 sp2 and also even tried with Ubuntu still the same problem, I am just unable to reach to any conclusion, can you show me how I can create this disk

You should be having the procedure list available when you have purchased your motherboard Look in the documentation of the motherboard to have the procedure.
Confer with the CD provided with your motherboard or the manufacturer's website to get the drivers.
There you will find the copy of some files to a floppy disk that you must insert in the drive during installation.
