    New Build PC Problem

I need some help with my PC.
I have read a lot of threads here, and thought that I would build a nice new PC, well, then all the trouble started.

I have built a lot of PC's before, but never had problems like these.

My PC consists of the following:

    Asus P5Q3 Deluxe Wifi-Ap @n
    Asus EAH3850X2 1Gb Screen Card
    Kingston KVR1333D3N9K2/4G 2x2Gb Ram
    Intel E8400 3,16Ghz CPU
Samsung Spinpoint F1 HD103UJ 1Tb Hard Drive 2 pcs. (one in a removable Chieftec tray)
ASUS Triton 78 120mm CPU Cooler
    NorthQ 52-in-1 Card Reader
    Cooler Master M620 Power Supply
2 extra 120mm Scythe Utra Kaze Case Fans
    NorthQ 2201 Kabinet
    Acer Ferrari 22” Screen
Logitech MX5500 Keyboard & Mouse Combo
    DVD SH-S223Q DVD Writer
    Windows Vista Ultimate English Version

First of all, the computer restarts and freezes… All the time – I have used 3 hours to write this so far.
Every time I boot the PC it stalls, until I tried to restore it to an earlier point – that helped so far, but the system is very unstable.
The next problem is the screen – it gets quite dull now and then, and if I reboot – all is fine again – especially when I have had the case open and inserted a new item – HDD and so on..
The next problem is the screen card – it makes quite a lot of noise – the noise comes and goes.
I have tried to download the fix for this problem from the ASUS homepage, but no luck installing it – Windows will not accept it. It seems to need a signature.
The PC restarts itself now and then, without confirmation.
I seem to have a lot of trouble with my new system, and truly hope that someone can help me, because I am totally lost!
When I installed Windows it seemed to work fine until I installed the Motherboards installation Cd’s.
I also found that some windows updates has caused trouble.

I have reinstalled windows a dozen times, and have had no luck getting it right.
The WIFI-Ap does not work well either – other PC ‘s is not able to connect to the PC wirelessly.
I wonder if it might be the ram? Could it be that is might be the wrong type?
I looked on Kingstons homepage, and they recommend this specific type for this motherboard.

Should I just get Windows Xp, and would that solve my problems? Or should I buy another motherboard?

Is there anyone that might be able to tell me how to configure the BIOS settings, because I have tried looking in the users manual, but no luck – the problem is that I have set all the settings to the default, but I am not sure that everything is as it should be.

    PLEASE HELP!
    I would appreciate any advice.
    Thanks.
PS. My Cpu is running round about 30*degrees Celsius.

Have you tried booting in SAFE Mode?

For your screen(graphics card) card problem you need to install the Windows Vista Ultimate compatible drivers.

You should test the hardware parts one by one on another PC.
    Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 (3.6GHz, 1.44v) with TR Ultra 120E,
    Gigabyte GA-EX38-DQ6 v1.1, 4GB G.Skill PI 1066 5-5-5-15 2.1v ,
    Powercolor ATI HD4870X2 2GB, 4x SATA2 500GB Samsung HDD RAID 10,
    Creative X-Fi, Dell 2408WFP A01 24" LCD,
    Acer P221w 22" LCD,
    Corsair HX-1000 Watt PSU,
    Vista 64-bit.

I have tried to restart in safe mode, but it does not help - still rebooting.

I do not have another PC, and do not know anyone who might have a newer pc which I can switch the components with.

Do you think it might be the power supply? Is the one that I have bought sufficient?

Can it be the ram, processor and/or the motherboard?

I tried to start it up yesterday 10 to 20 times, and each time the PC reboots, and everything fails to get the Pc up and running.

The pc gets into windows, and then reboots - without confimation....

It may be because of some loose connection of hardisk and ram, it happened once with my friend and tthe reason was absent of one of the power port connection on motherboard. Open the case and check all connections first. Better is consult some computer harware specialist. Or its new pc then you can goto shop from where you have bought.

    Got it up and running...
It was the ram - I took one out, and then everything worked, so now I'm gonna get me some OCZ Reaper HPC 1600Mhz ram...

    Hope thats better than kingston.

    Thanks for all your help.
