| Fan malfunctioning and need to restart computer
Here is my problem: Since yesterday the fan box of power supply from my PC does not start normally, I must restart the PC to work on the first start because it is the total silence level fan! I want to know if it's a sign that the box of power supply is at the end of life, if I have too many appliances plugged in on my multi-taking with the arrival of Benq 24'' and the xbox 360, or a problem on the motherboard? |

Give us the brand of the power supply, and that power, and if possible details of your config. If it is a no-name power supply, change it by something more reliable. |

It's no-name to the 400W which is more than two years! I believe that this is a cause of my config as calculated is easily 120W margin, the strip with a PC, a 24'' screen and a Xbox 360 it might fail to power? |

No, but you must know that power supply's no-name, are of very poor quality manufacturing, power and change everything back to normal, but this time take a good brand. Know that no-name 400W displays, delivering just 200W. If you want to be taking a quiet Antec or Corsair. In any case, does not hesitate to change it, because if the fan gets burnt, it does not last long, and may be your motherboard too will go. If you want to calculate the power consumpltion of your config (current and future) you can go here: http://apc.canardpc.com/ |
