    Problem PCI device (Code 28)

    Hello,

I do not know where this problem has occurred when starting the PC, but it blocks the use of the graphics card (which reduces my resolution and slow down the display).

    Device Manager:

    PCI Device
    type: SCSI and RAID Controllers
The drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28)

    Graphics Card: Nvidia GeForce 7300GT
Windows can not load the device driver for this hardware. This driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39)

I have reinstalled some drivers (the graphics card, VIA chipset driver) but it was not used.

I also tried a System Restore and a solution which should modify the registry: no result.

I left the solution to format and reinstall windows but I would avoid it.

    Thank you for your help.

    System: Windows XP
    Firefox 3.0.6
    AMD Athlon 64 Processor 3500 +
    Nvidia GeForce 7300GT

According to microsoft this simply means that the device drivers for this device is not installed. you need to find the driver for the particular device. usually a CD that came with it.
