    Express FC adapter problem

    hello

1: when I inserted the first time it worked, my card is mounted on the desktop
2: download the manufacturer's website updated driver
3: Now when I branch, it rises more .... there is just the icon at the top next to the wifi that says "turn off" the map "
4: I checked in system profile the presence of the card and the manager is installed ...

question, how i can come over this properly? I have already uninstalled and reinstalled the driver ....

I do not know what to do ??

    Re: Express FC adapter problem

just to be clear on terms:

you on one side of an adapter and the other a compact flash (CF)when you put the adapter in the slot, an icon appears in the menu bar, ok? when you use the option "off the map", this is the adapter, not your FC! ok?
    good!

when you want to remove your CF, ejects you (via the trash or apple + e), correct? when you want to remove the adapter, you must first eject your FC, then I think, use the "off the map" as you followed this type of procedure? however, I speak a little in the void because I do not have this adapter for CF, but a sata card, I assume that the principle must be the same did you get off between time and restarted the mac (not a pause, a complete shutdown)
if the problems persist, a small reset pram can also help

do not need to disable the adapter, I think, better to disable it before removing it from the slot ... (but I could be wrong). With regard to the CF memory card), it is sufficient to eject, as usual the uninstaller should be included with the installer, right? but before any transfer, as you turn off / restart, and reset ?

    1) test with another card
    2) test on another session (another user to create if necessary)
or there can be kernel panic which are planted..
