    [USB] Delete CDFS partition

    Hello everyone,

    I have to retrieve a key 1GB with 2 partitions: FAT (~ 400Mb) and CDFS (~ 500Mb).

On the CDFS partition is in the pub opens with a flash autorun

This is annoying because every time I plug the key into a PC (Windows), I am entitled to the pub

What I'd like it deleted the CDFS partition and recreate a FAT32 partition.

For info it is a key to the company Juniper Networks does not mention

I have already done much research with without conclusive results.

What I already tried without success:
    - Formatting with Windows, Partition Magic ... (tested also in safe mode)
    - Formatting QtParted Linux, GParted, dd, ... (CDFS partition is not recognized or read)
    - Remove U3 (does not recognize my key)

Most formatting software do not recognize the CDFS partition that they are dedicated to CD-ROM (read only)

Someone would have a solution to offer me.

You may try to destroy them, rather than try to formatter. Cfdisk under Linux to get there.

    Hope this helps you.

Cfdisk Unfortunately, like others, does not recognize my device / dev/scd0

    Yep!

Normally you should not have access to your key with / dev/scd0 but qqchse as / dev / sdx (X = a, b, c. ..), memory (I have nothing in my hand).
And then you should be able to delete your partition, right?

    It runs on linux?

Look at the "dmesg" when you plug
    After
    dd if = / dev / zero of = / dev / ma_cle bs = 512
