Printer with 3 functions in linux

epson cx5200 here, works perfectly

Canon MP160 here, works perfectly with cups (gimpprint opensource driver) and Sane. I have not tested if it copies against pc off by the buttons but since I think so

Oh job on a big color laser HP LaserJet 2840, running as nickel (opensource driver hplip)

All models are fully compatible Brother linux (I think that is the only company in this case, driver free, great approach, I have one);
HP, although I hate windows (that is personal ...), a lot of their models work very well under linux (I installed a hp c4190 two minutes research included ...);
