Is my power supply enough for HD3850 256MB graphics card

I bought a graphics card HD3850 256MB and I have a power supply of 250wat max, my computer is on and I have noticed no problems (yet).

    My questions are:

    1. Is my power supply enough? why?

    2. Is it that if I start now a big game, there are risks for my graphics card if the 250 watt power supply not enough?

Everything depends on your power supply. If poor quality, it will not fit its promised 250w and indeed it may even explode/catch fire (no laughing) at the worst of the worst or simply snap, possibly resulting in the death of some components of the PC.

HD3850 consumes 100Watt max. After, it depends on the processor and the number of devices etc.

Give us the brand of power supply, so that we can judge. I suppose it must be a classic Fortron 250watts.

After that, the only solution is to test in real conditions (but first give us the info on the power supply)

Note: If you have a good quality power supply, but insufficient, if you exceed its maximum load, the PC is off, and at worst the power supply goes into its protection or fuse blows, that's all.

OK thank you, so the power supply is:
    Delta Electronics DPS-250AB-22
    250watt max
    +5v 16a
    +12 15a
    +5v vsp 2a
    +3.3v 20a
    -12v 0.5A

Do I have to unplug my graphics card instantly?

Delta Electronics Hmmm ... It's not the worst of the worst, but it is not terrible.

The config turn without doubt, but if you have luck, it would be a shame that a tragedy occurs

In short, counsel for real power supply: Corsair 400WATT

I voluntarily take a little oversized so that the power supply is comfortable and its fan does not turn into a turbine. Finally, value a priority ideal for this kind of configs.

    Thank you

One more thing, a friend wants to sell me his 400WATT power supply. Can I take it?

Not at all! If it is a shit, not a true 400 watts, then we are left with the same kind of shaky situation.
