HP Photosmart D5160 problem with firefox

Hello,

The service of my HP printer does not work if I use it as your default browser Firefox. I can access the ink level and other settings available. Do you have a solution? Apart from use Internet Explorer. Note that I have not installed the full suite of bundled software with my hardware, but just the basic drivers.

What cartridges are you using if not HP? Are you getting any alerts from the printer that indicates that a cartridge is missing or wrong type? In my experience generic or refilled ink cartridges cause too many issues. Some have been know to make the printer unusable.

The printer works perfectly, I can print any document from any application that I have.
The only snag is that in the properties, if I go on "Printer Service". I get the error message "unable to perform the operation"

This is from Firefox, because if I turned it works.

I am running Windows Vista - SP1 Pack
Firefox 3.0.6
