    Error 0xc00000e9 I/O boot

One Morning I found out I could not boot any more...error 0xc00000e9 or something like that. It was an I/O error and that I should remove any external devices connected to the computer. I did so, and was still receiving the error. So, I tried disabling one of my two hard drives, and it worked, now its boots up fine.I go back into BIOS and enable the hard drive again...boots fine.

It was clear that harddrive was fialing....!

However, I ran several diagnostic tools on the hard drive including Seagate's own tools...including Short Generic, Short DST and Long DST and still no problems. Also used Vista's Check Disk program and still no errors.

It has been solved now but it may create next time so please help me with it.......???

    Re: Error I/O boot

I think this is a harddirve controller bad sector...!

Either change mother board or try a add-on hard drive controler card to see if the problem goes away.
