| Buffer of a disk
hi I have doubts between an external hard disk as i am interested to but new one ,that is 1.5 TB and a buffer of 8 mb.or an internal hard disk (s-ata) which has a 32MB buffer. What does the buffer than in? |

As you will, in general none of brands with a USB HDD. The bottleneck is not with the HDD, but with USB. USB has usually a throughput of 20 ~ 35MBps (depending on your chipset) and hard disks about 60 ~ 120 g much more than USB. So you can have as much cache, you do not get much extra burst rate of throughput it. |

Higher is better money in the cache, which is faster. Maybe a nice drive to find E-SATA and USB? |

The buffer is only really used for larger files. If you are word processing or email, etc. go no marks of a large cache. Only video (for example) will actually benefit. |
