Problem with hp compaq 6730s

I have the following problem: it hangs from time to time, and I think the problem is related to the operating system, or I think it's a software issue in general, because as soon as it locks not answered nothing, not even the task manager.The operating system is windows xp.Some of you never had this kind of problem?should I contact HP?obviously the pc is under warranty ..

I have not noticed a particular fan speed.
Only the pc does not respond to any command, not even task manager.The PC has very little life (is new) and the operating system is clean .. I have the impression that it is a problem of the machine ... I have not yet contacted hp.
