I have a Windows 98 with a 40gb hard-disk and 128mb RAM.
The computer was showing hard-disk full. Thereafter, I have deleted so many items from my hard-disk...still it shows full hard-disk...
How do I create space in my hard-disk?

Seems like you have hardly any space left in your hard-disk.
Run scandisk and scan for virus and clean them.
Also clean all the temporary files that are being created.
Clear all the unwanted programs that you are not using.
As the computer stays on longer, it caches more and more stuff to the disk
If you have more than one partitions, move the cache file to another partition by going into system > hardware >virtual memory, select another partition and reboot.
This will create more space in your hard drive
did you take in account the virtual memory file, the "suspend to RAM" file, and other hidden and system files that your Explorer doesn't usually show?
have you run a checkdisk lately? as you may have a bunch of so called 'lost files'...
have you large files saved on the "desktop"? many don't take in account that this is a special folder on their hard disk!
have you a full "recycle bin"? those are also taking space from your HD. also the history and cache for internet explorer.
