Save the video output of a PC from another

I know what I exactly need from a cable, so I can record on a PC video output on the other PC.

The aim would be to record directly to a PC which appears on the other when the boot, how to configure the bios ...

The question is finally able to make copies of screens or AVI files that you see on the screen while there is still no OS loaded into the PC.

I of course a PC with a video output (classical, but also DVI), and another with an S-Video, one composite, and even a firewire input, as well as AUX IN.

First, is it really possible to do this? And how exactly do I connect this?

    thank you

What you need is a capture card VGA, DVI or S-Video.

Seeking quick, VGA and DVI, it seems harder to find. By against, with S-Video, it seems to exist.

Edit: Actually not, with the S Video, you can not capture that once the OS loaded. It does not seem to be supported at startup.

Normally, the BIOS can print a copy of the screen.

Parallel ports are becoming increasingly rare, is it possible via USB?

I suppose you could look in that direction.

    Have fun.

I do not print what I see on the screen. But make a screenshot, or better, a video animation.

I have a capture card S-Video. But I see no cable at all what I needed between 2 pc.

You need an exit for example SVideo output on those who did not purchase the card and then connect with a cable SVideo / svideo baseline.

    Hi,

I do not know exactly your needs, but it can give some ideas if I am not completely off topic.
If you just want to have a video with the boot of your bios, you can take a camcorder.
Otherwise with a virtual machine you can boot a machine by not against the stage bios of your machine as this will be the virtual machine.
Another idea a little twisted, but you can always connect your s-video output on the start and connect to your VCR. I know you see the boot sequence. I have a laptop with an S-video and when I plugged into a TV and I turn on my pc that I have the boot sequence on the screen of my laptop and TV.
