Beep from CPU while Opening every Program

Hello Friends,

I have P III computer system with the following configuration:
256 MB Ram,
Tomato Motherboard,
Intel chipset,
40 GB hard disk,
1.6 GHZs

then I had upgrade my system to Additional 256 MB, and additional 40 GB hard disk i suppose this will be the last upgradation to my system, the problem is that whenever I open new application or any new folder it gives an Beep which makes me Nut, I am sure that,Beep comes from CPU, and don't understand that why this beep comes,is it because the latest upgrade does not matches to the earlier system configuration.

Please help...

did you take my suggestion and take it out of the case?????

if not do so, i would suspect something to be bad on it like capacitors.

If you can hear long beep,it shows that the RAM is problem,please check RAM slot. or remove the RAM and insert again and then check.

Unplug your power supply connections and reconnect. I have had bad connections cause this problem.
