    Headphones not working in vista

    Hi Friends,

I recently upgraded to MS Vista Home Premium from XP and have found that my headphones do not work. Any ideas?

    All suggestions are welcome.

Right click on your little speaker icon at the bottom right corner and choose "Playback devices" you should get a window pop up. Make sure the microphone is turned up there.

There is a sound card or motherboard driver that will need to be installed for this to work. Go to the manufacturer's web site to download and install the driver.

Just go and select the device which is listed in Sound Settings. In windows Vista when you connect the headphones it doesn't switch. So just select the one which you want to use as default device and start using it.
