Silicon Image SATA RAID controller - RAID only possible?

Hello, after my Raid 0 array is not quite so happy (volume, not as fast as expected), I wanted something to try without RAID ... Can I attend the onboard SATA RAID controller in my A7N8X-E Del. simply connect a single plate and the normal use? Or should I prefer a normal IDE disk to buy and with the Nforce IDE controller operate?

Please help me. Thank you

normally should be a single plate without any problems at this controller running.

Okay, I trust you. Asking me only if I can get the RAID drivers so that it can be used at the install of Windows?

Here is the download page for the driver, my presumption is that these drivers file 2 contains a raid without a raid. Otherwise, a text or readme file with it.

1) Check that the tape drive is OK, maybe it can not do writes anymore ( only reads )

DO a test backup with an old tape if possible, also clean the tape drive.

Worst case, you may have to try a different controller, although I would suspect the tape drive first.

I hope this helps !
