Hard drives are not detected by motherboard

    Hello,
Let me explain the situation. I have 2 hard drives in raid 0 that I partitioned . But no longer used vista, and want to get the place occupied by Vista, I made an image of my hard drive xp, removed the 2 partitions just to make a single hard disk, and then reassembled the image of the bone on the raid0. (All this using the Acronis software).

Result of the operation, the image is well up on the hard disk, when I turn on the pc, xp starts, but hangs. thinking that had an error of file missing boot, I wanted to restore the mbr for windows xp.
So I insert the XP cd, and there he tells me he does not detect a hard drive on my computer to my great surprise (for Windows starts). I will take a look in the bios of my motherboard, no hard drive detected.
So I boot on my software that I use to create the disk partitions, which I detect the hard drives in raid0 with my operating system installed.

What should I conclude, what are my options? is that my backup software disk that created the problem or my motherboard which is HS.

    Hi,
This may be the normal problems of detection: for RAID it often give drivers xp, then your xp installed the drivers and starts, the CD does not do it because you can not give the drivers at startup (?). The bios does not detect hd "classic" but you will be in a section dedicated to RAID?

Otherwise you could already create your partition, format and see if the xp cd to detect the disk with the drivers. Acronis partition that is borked, then try to redo everything with the xp cd.

Yes indeed in the small menu dedicated to the management of 2 raid my hard drive are detected.
Indeed it might be that I re install the drivers for the raid (I had not thought of), only worry is that I have no floppy drive: An idea of how to install a raid xp without floppy ?

I hope not to say shit but I think it's impossible. Vista could, but XP needs a floppy drive.
