Well, if anyone is still facing the same issue then they can follow the below steps to solve it:
    1. First of all you need to go to Start and then go to Run, then type cmd and press enter or click OK, this will open a comman prompt box.
    2. After that you have to type the below command on command prompt replacing Y with any other drive letter that is assigned to your pen drive or flash drive or ipod:
      • CHKDSK Y: /F

Try that registry hack. You need to go in - HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\StorageDevicePolicies. In that you can see a WriteProtect file. Right click and change the value to 0 or you can delete that also. But take a backup of registry before, by exporting the file. It is necessary to check properly what modification you are doing or else there can be other errors.

If you do not have any important data in that, then format the usb via command prompt. Insert the usb type format <name of usb drive ex.F> and hit enter. Give Y for yes and wait for the formatting time. This is a low level formatting where it takes time. Once done, remove and re-insert the usb drive one more time. It should be detected and permissions might be restored to overwrite the data.
