New Radeon HD coming from AMD in April / May

"After the first information about new solutions that will enrich the lineup of competition, it seems some move by AMD"

According to the American giant who will be willing to update its range of video cards in the second quarter. The well-known website reported the news in a first information about a new ATI Radeon HD 4890, for the high-end market, and a pair of Radeon HD 4700, with a target more mainstream.

According to initial information, the new Radeon HD 4890 will be developed on RV790 GPUs, with an operating frequency of 850MHz, coupled with GDDR5 memory at 975MHz. For a comparison, the current top of the range proposed based on a single chip from AMD, the Radeon HD 4870 operating at 750MHz with memory at 900MHz. The new top of the range should leave throughout the month of April, presumably after the half the cost may reach around $ 299 U.S..

The offer for the mainstream market will be renewed during the month of May, with new solutions developed at 40 nanometers. The new GPU, RV740 identifiable symbol, stand behind the development of two cards, Radeon HD 4770 and HD 4750 which will be respectively available on the market at a cost of 119 and 99 U.S. dollars. The name Radeon HD 4750 was already revealed in the days gone by, when, at the release of Catalyst 9.1, a file the above mentioned card. I hope that at least it will have the basic mounting of 1gb of ram, the 4890 ... if this thing wont be there then I see no point out there.
    Again,
If 4870 is a simple heatsink then this will be also useless, if not to compete with GTX285, we can wait for RV870.
If it was a 40nm then would be another story..

ATI is doing the same game for Nvidia. It seems that although many (including here) will complain to the Nvidia and quantity of cards that come out, ATI is also to blame.
But in the end it may create solutions significantly to try to bring all possible output.

well, I do not see it as so chaotic here ...
The 4890 is better than 4870, though it speaks only of frequencies, it would be disgusting if it were known by 5870 to assume a completely new, as is being done by recycling nvidia VGA series of more than 1 years ago ... with names always different and high ...

The 4700 is a new set that fits perfectly between the good though 4670 and 4830 ... this is a new card and I think that is a new rv740 chip if not mistaken. Then recycle anything, or change of name that may mislead, is an evolution of the current series ... indeed.
