Controller Card with HDD not Recognized

Hey guys, I've got a problem getting my HDD recognized in Vista. Keep in mind, prior to re-installing Vista the other day, I had this drive recognized and working fine, so I don't think there's any hardware issues. The controller card has the sata 1 TB Hitachi Deskstar HDD attached just for some reason it's not recognized! I've fooled around with some drivers (maybe the wrong ones?) still nothing. I totally forget how I got it working the first time around.

Download Damn Small Linux, which is only 50 mb, copy the ISO to a CD, boot with it and see if it find your hard drive. However, I think this may be a problem with your BIOS, maybe bad settings, but still, try that first.

Did you install a SATA HD without installing the SATA drivers from you motherboard???
Is the Drive showing under Device Manager??
Meanwhile, have a look at this http://forums.techarena.in/vista-har...ces/912020.htm
