Integrated webcam, how to use it

I have a packard bell with an integrated camera and wish I could get used to me among others by taking pictures on msn it works well but I use it otherwise it doesnt work. How to put the webcam in operation?

start in
workstation
then scanners and cameras
your webcam
you click
you can now take pictures

yes there has to be some sort of program on your computer to do this. my brother recently got a new Toshiba with a built in camera and it took me 4-5 hours to find the program...it's there, you just have to dig. if you go to your control panel and look at your program list, you should be able to find something that will work. if not, then you can always download a program similar to photobooth and it should recognize the camera.

it sounds like there are two programs trying to use the camera at the same time you need to shut one of them down first then you should be able to use it i fix a friend laptop and she had the same thing going wrong.
