My cd drive does not work!

    Hello everyone,
I have a real concern: I have a dvd burner on my laptop. Happen overnight, it is more serious at all: '(
I must confess that I have worked with daemon tools in recent times and with ImgBurn.

I uninstalled daemon tools with Revo so I do not think it influences on the system. But against, with ImgBurn, my drive still works perfectly, it is still recognized by windows and well lit. But when serious software provided by toshiba or windows or windows media player or burning fails immediately or after a few seconds!

Thank you for your answers or your attempts.
    Regards

My computer is a A100-02H and my dvd burner is a Matshita DVD-RAM UJ-850SATA Device.
Thank you for your help. Already tried what you suggested me.

In Device Manager, I have 3 things in IDE ATA / ATAPI controllers:
    - ATA Channel 0
    - IDE channel
    - Intel (R) 82801GBM/GHM (ICH7-M Family) Serial ATA Storage Controller - 27C4
    What do I do?

Try this, open windows explorer and select the cd drive you wish to burn cd's with, right click and select properties, then select the recording tab, ensure the enable cdburning box is checked, ( for some reason, only one cd burner can be enabled at a time), select ok and try to burn a new cd.

You may have to recheck this box each time, I don't know what caused this problem, I assume it was some windows update, I used to be able to use both of my cd burners to copy cd's, from my HD, but no longer. now only one at a time.

Try a different blank CD, I have thrown out many new blank CD's and DVD"s, and for some reason one will work and the next won't.
