    cleaning CPU fan

    Hello,
There's dust on the radiator of my processor (E6300 socket 775), between the radiator and fan. The ventilator is the ventilator box provided by Intel. I do not force and ask ... not to break everything ^ ^ Is there way to separate the fan from the radiator to clean between the 2? Or should we remove the radiator and the motherboard / clean through the fan blades? Thank you

Well, I would recommend you use a cotton swab to clean the fan blades. If you need to use a liquid to clean anything in your computer, make sure it isn't water-based, as that might ruin your electronics (I hear rubbing alcohol might work, but don't do anything until you get a second and third opinion).

The heatsink and fan should come off together. You can use pressurised air in a can to blow out the majority of the dust.

take the cpu cooler off, and then get an ear bud and get all the dust off you can, then get the vaccuum cleaner and do a quick run over it, and then just shake/blow the rest of it out

Remember to take the cooler OUT before doing any of that

I take the fans out and use air and a 1 inch paint brush for hard to remove dirt and grime.

I take the fan off the cpu heat sink if applicable, because the dirt gets clogged between the fins.

Sometimes I also will take the power supply apart if it's real bad.

Last is a good vacuum job inside the case.

Did you reapply thermal grease when you replaced the Heatsink. If you didn't the CPU could overheat when power is applied and shut the PC down.
