Laptop fan stop working

Hello People,

I was formatting my laptop and in the middle of the installation laptop shutdown. It was very hot and fan is not working at all. Can i try installing again or how can i solve this?

When you are formatting your laptop, can you hear the fan sounds? if you can, the fan is working. otherwise, I think you should get help from manufacturer.

Look on the bottom and see if there is a panel cover held in place with screws, open up the laptop and see if the power cable for the fan became disconnected. Do not try this without a manual showing full instructions on how to do this.

Try to install OS, and if its done then:
It is possible that the temperature probe is off, but the fan only comes on when the CORE temperature goes higher than a set limitation. It may be that the heatsink and laptop are getting hotter while the cores are staying the same. Look at the temperatures in MBM5 or a program like that because that is the best determination.
