Samsung cd R/RW problem

I am having problem with cd burner drive. The drive is appearing in explorer and is working according to device manager but not able to read cds. No read error message is appearing just a blank window as though the cd contains no contents. when i try to burn cds in Nero a power error message is displayed as I enable the burn process which causes Nero to abort the burn.

Make sure the drive is detected properly by the BIOS and that DMA is enabled in the BIOS. Download the latest firmware update and checked the drive and cables.

To work around this issue, start Registry Editor (Regedit.exe), and then locate and click the following key in the registry
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Enum\IDE\CDROMXXXX\instance\Device Parameters\Imapi
where CDROMXXXX is the Plug and Play device ID for the CD-RW drive, and instance is a value that is specific to the CD-RW drive. For example:
CdRomXXXX = CdRomSAMSUNG_CD-R/RW_SW-208F_________________FN03____

Instance = 5&18bef761&0&0.0.0
NOTE: The preceding values will be different in different CD-RW drives.

Add the following registry values to the preceding registry key:
Value name: EnableImapi
Data type: REG_DWORD
Radix: Hexadecimal
Value data: 0x1

Value name: OpcNotSupported
Data type: REG_DWORD
Radix: Hexadecimal
Value data: 0x1

Value name: BufferManagementType
Data type: REG_DWORD
Radix: Hexadecimal
Value data: 0x1
Quit Registry Editor, and then restart your computer.
