C-Media CMI8738/C3DX Audio Device Driver

If you've found the driver, save it as you rightly pointed, for example, clicking on the desktop.
Then go to the Device Manager, then on the sound card, then update the Tribe, give the path where you locate the driver and the rest is automatic

I have the same problem, only I use WinXP and not even the C-Media CMI8738/C3DX Audio Device drivers for download for XP found.

Have already tried similar drivers .... but they are not recognized.

I'm a layman, but at least I know that sometimes my sound card Sound Blaster 16 PnP VALUE is not onboard.
