| USB 2 or USB 1.1
My computer has 8 USB ports. How do I know which of these ports are USB 2? I saw there not really matter before, but now with all those USB devices that plug in several of our machines have a more significant rendemnent with USB 2, I know those USB 2 . If I go to "System Information" I can see that my machine has 2 USB 2 ports, but which ones? |

Do you have a USB 2? If so Windows will give you a message that it can work faster if plug in usb 2.

You can analyze these ports with PC Wizzard 2008. |

Birdie is right. For a quick and easy test, just plug the pen drive into the USB port. If XP or VISTA reports 'This device can work faster', then your machine has type 1.1 sockets. If you don't get the message, you have USB 2.0 sockets. |
