Seagate announced its first hard drives to 2TB

Seagate, the world leader in hard drives, announced Monday by news release the launch of a first hard disk with a capacity of 2 TB 3.5-inch format, it uses a SATA or SAS interface, said Seagate, which incorporates a new range of hard drives and servers for business, called Constellation.

So far only had a Western Digital hard disk catalog of 2 TB, the current record of capacity. It retains an edge, since its WD20WEADS is already offered for sale. At Seagate, deliveries should begin in the second quarter.

The Constellation range of Seagate will also offer 2.5-inch drives in capacities from 160 to 500 Go For now, the manufacturer does not affect the performance of these discs, but says that they are likely to most energy efficient on the market.
