No Active Mixer Device found - After System restart

Hi All,

I had sound issue in my system. "No Active Mixer Device found ". Then i reinstalled the driver files and Plug and Play Software Enumerator. Then it worked.

But if i restart, i could not see my Sound Card again in my Device Manager and no sound after that.

While booting, if I choose Load Optimal Defaults in the BIOS then the sound works.

Is there any permanent fix for this issue?

I was also facing similar type of issue, when i told one of my friend about the issue he told me to change the card slot and download and install latest drivers for your sound card after that i am sure you will not face any issue, if you then check out below links for more solution

Mine is a inbuilt sound card.Not a separate one

If you are having inbuilt sound card then i would suggest you to first disable it from BIOS and try to use sound card and have a check for the same, if it works fine then your onboard sound card might got corrupted and if it's in warranty period then i would suggest you to take it to service center and get it replaced.
